Research
Laura Stabile, PhD , Associate Professor of Pharmacology & Chemical Biology at the University of Pittsburgh and a member of the Cancer Biology Program investigates how estrogen influences the immune system and lung cancer progression. Her research indicates that estrogen fosters a protumor environment, suggesting combining anti-estrogen agents with immunotherapies could enhance treatment effectiveness. Inspired by her mother's battle with cancer, she aims to improve survival through innovative therapies and predictive biomarkers.
