The 80 / 20 Breakdown
80% funds cutting-edge lung cancer research at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, with a focus on women and lung cancer.
20% supports patients and families directly — no-cost lodging through Family House, free parking at UPMC Hillman, and the lung cancer support group at Cancer Bridges.
The board of directors may also make micro-grants to other nationally recognized lung cancer organizations or top tier research facilitates if they believe the funding from Libby’s Lungs will make a meaningful impact for the lung cancer community.
Since 2019, this community has raised over $400,000 for lung cancer research and patient support — and the work continues.
